RMG177 - New Macs and New Executives

Thanks to Tao Rodriguez-Seeger of the mammals for letting me open this podcast with Crickets in the Kitchen. I first heard the mammals at Festival International. You can find the mammals musics in the iTunes Music Store.

I tell about a listener who lost over 400 purchased iTunes when his hard drive failed. If only he had a .Mac account and had automatic backup turned on for his purchased tunes. If you absolutely have to get your data back from a crashed hard drive, check with DriveSavers.

Congrat's to Jon Rubinstein, the Senior Vice President of Apple's iPod division, who announced that he'll retire at the end of March, 2006. Jon successor in the position will be Tony Fadell. Congratulations also to Tim Cook who promoted from Execuitve Vice President of Worldwde Sales and Operations to Chief Opperations Officer.

New Powerbooks, New Powermac G5's.

The SG Show is a very cute father/young son podcast from California.

This episode ends with "I Believe", a tune from the late Don Grooms, and supplied to us by the Florida State Archives.

Name: Dave

I live uphill from a beautiful swamp. I try and balance living in the tree shade with being a gardener. I play night frisbee, and ride strange looking bicycles.
