RMG172 - Wind and Rants

As I write this, Hurricane KATRINA has torn across Florida, killing at last report, 7 people. It is now in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to hit somewhere on the Gulf Coast on Monday. If you live in this part of the world, fill up the car with gas, fill up the water bottles, charge the batteries, and keep in touch with the local emergency authorities.

Thanks to Mike for Mike's Mic.

Musical Break: From Smallfish, Waves, in honor of our storm.

Reader Questions:

Broken USB port on a Powerbook. Here's a work-around.

Does the G5 Xserve have power problems? The answer is, no but some iMac G5 models may have a problem. To begin, Apple has announced a service extension on iMac G5's covering certain specific problems.

Today's podcast is all about service and much of it is a rant regarding my recent adventures in getting an eMac repaired under >AppleCare.

Y'all take care, keep it backed up, and stay safe and dry.
