AppleCare is awesome.
I'm about to send one of my computers off for repair. Before I do, I'll clone the internal disk drive to an external drive to help insure that I don't lose any data. Until Tiger arrived, I used Carbon Copy Cloner. That application is not yet updated for Tiger so instead, I'll be using SuperDuper!
If you live in North Florida or South Georgia, I'll be presenting a session on new media, RSS and podcasting at the Florida Government Conference in Tallahassee, September 27th through the 28th.
Things have gotten complicated in Cobb County, Georgia (US) where a court has put a hold on the deal between the local school board and Apple Computer. The deal had been for up to 65,000 laptops, the biggest deal in Apple history. While there are good points on both sides of the issues, the ultimate loosers are the students. The School Board is meeting to disuss the situation as this podcast is being produced.
In honor of some very short sighted people up in Georgia, we'll end the podcast with Temple of Contradictions, a lovely tune from Anne Davis. The tune comes to us from the Podsafe Music Network.
